Thinking back and thinking about just how hard some of the bosses were back in the day on consoles like the NES and Mega Drive, leaves me unfufilled with modern day gaming. There is way too much focus on graphics than the more important aspect, gaming.
Here is a good example of a quite difficult battle against a dragon in a NES game called Dragon Lair,You will notice it is just a projectile fest kind of a boss battle! Enjoy!

I loved/hated this game, as well as the arcade version. I wasted more time and quarters playing both. Grrrrr!
